Revenge of The Brewery is back for it's third year in a row to pay homage to the rock club that helped pave the way for the rest of us, The Brewery. Night 1 features Mic Harrison And The High Score!
Doors at 8:00 PM, Show at 9:00 PM • $8.00 in advance, $10.00 at the door • 21+
The Brewery played host to bands such as Jane's Addiction, Korn, Sheryl Crow, Hootie and the Blowfish, Butch Walker and Ryan Adams. In the 80s, The Brewery was pivotal in the hardcore punk movement, as documented in the 2006 Sony Pictures release, American Hardcore. During this time, acts such as Corrosion of Conformity and Black Flag took the stage at The Brewery, often during Sunday afternoon matinees.
From 2002 - 2004, the venue seemed to be struggling financially and artistically. With a changing music scene, The Brewery was struggling to bring in the rising stars that had made the venue successful. The club eventually closed in early April 2004.
In June 2004 the doors re-opened and The Brewery saw a revival, bringing in groups such as King's X and Metal Church. Others include Panic! at the Disco, Cartel (band), Paramore, Augustana, Bury Your Dead, Armor for Sleep, Boys Like Girls, Emery (band), Ivoryline, Secret and Whisper, Closure in Moscow.
The Brewery was demolished in August 2011.
