We love you! …Mic will be doin’ a slew of acoustic shows with Kevin Abernathy on a tour they’re callin’ “Full Body.” They’ve already done a few Full Body shows together but June and July will see them out playin’ in Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Washington DC and Virginia. This month we’ll be tending to things close to home and getting ready to play Vestival on Saturday the 11th. The 13th Annual Vestival: South Knoxville’s Art & Heritage Festival features a free Mother’s Day brunch, local arts and crafts, children’s activities, a variety of food choices, old-fashioned cake walks and live music. We’re honored to be invited to play this year’s Spring Skunk Music Fest in Greer, SC. We play on Friday, right before some songwriter from Virginia named Miller. Make sure to check out the schedule for the whole weekend.

Saturday the 13th we’ll be opening for our friend Chris Knight and his band at Buster’s Billiards & Backroom in Lexington, KY. Everyone better hydrate for this one.

Wednesday the 17th we’ll be playing a free show on Market Square in Downtown Knoxville as part of Bliss‘ 10th birthday celebration. This all ages show starts at 7:00 PM. Rock-n-roll on the Square!

He’s also a songwriter of the first order with a knack for classic pop hooks and a honky tonk vibe that makes you feel good down to your toes. However, behind the good time are often songs that are deeper than you imagined. “Still Wanna Fight” is the best place yet to appreciate why you need to pay close attention. Don’t take this guy for granted. He’s the real deal.

A dense, meaty record that draws as much from The High Score catalog as it does from Harrison’s alt-country past or the Southern rock the two forces have made so well over the past four records. The lead-off track, “Don’t Change Your Plans,” sounds like something Harrison might have offered up during the sessions for the final Superdrag studio record, “Last Call for Vitriol.” “Rock and Roll Clothes,” featuring guitarist Robbie Trosper on lead vocals, would fit nicely on the next record by The High Score by their lonesome, and the manner in which it all comes together underscores the fact that Harrison and the boys are so much better together than they are apart.
