Friday the 18th we’ll be teaming up with our ol’ pals Ned Van Go for a southern invasion on The Green Lantern in Lexington, Kentucky. Ned and the boys put out a great album last year called “Lost In The Trouble” – make sure to check out the two videos from it on YouTube… “Drunk Like Shane MacGowan” and “Where Ya Gone Virginia?” We always have a blast sharing the stage with Ned so if you’re in the area make sure not to miss this one.
Saturday the 19th we’ll be back in Nashville playing the Exit/In with special guests Connor Christian & Southern Gothic and Stone Senate. This will be our first time playing with either of these bands and we’re looking forward to meeting them. Make sure to visit the Shows page for all upcoming gig details.
Mic played in North Carolina several times last year on the Full Body Tour and a lot of folks asked when the High Score would be coming back over to play a full band show… well, here we come! Friday the 20th you’ll find us at The Double Door Inn in Charlotte with our pal Bob Graham’s band, Leadville Social Club. This’ll be our first show at the Double Door and our first time sharing the stage with LSC – looking forward to making the scene with both. Saturday the 21st we’ll be over in Raleigh at The Pour House opening for our old pals The Backsliders, along with Eddie Taylor. One of those acoustic shows Mic did last year in NC was with Chip in Durham and it was nice seeing those guys catch up. We look for more of that love and admiration mid-June in Raleigh. Join us for the love-in! For advanced ticket links and more info make sure to visit the Shows page.
On Friday the 9th we’ll be playing at Preservation Pub on Market Square with our buddies George, Jesse, John and Gray – collectively known as Stolen Sheep. We’ve been writing and working on new songs and just might have to try a few out on y’all that night.
Speaking of new songs, at the end of the month we’ll be taking to the studio to start recording some of those new songs and we plan to have something new out later this year. Say tuned for more details on that!
June will find us over the mountain in North Carolina playing a couple shows with Leadville Social Club, The Backsliders and Eddie Taylor. Make sure to visit the Shows page for details on those gigs plus all upcoming shows.
On Friday the 4th we’ll be in Nashville playing at The High Watt with our ole Superdrag pal Senator Pappas as his new band, The Tom Pappas Collection, as they release their new album, “Bomb Shelter.” Also on the bill is the Raelyn Nelson Band. Tom says, “Yes, she’s Willie Nelson’s granddaughter!”
We’re also excited to announce our next hometown show – Friday, May 9th we’ll be back at Preservation Pub on Market Square with Stolen Sheep. Make sure to visit the Shows page for all upcoming gig details.
We took a break from writing new songs to shoot a video for Couch By Couchwest. The last couple years we did CXCW videos for “The Colonel Is Dead,” “Rock And Roll Clothes” and “Wiser The Whiskey.” Keep an eye out on their website starting March 9th for this years submission.
